Wave Rider is an arcade-style endless runner set against the backdrop of a colorful tropical ocean. Players begin with a high-speed plunge down a waterfall to build momentum before embarking on an endless surfing journey. Each playthrough presents a unique terrain and set of challenges, ensuring the game remains fresh, exciting, and highly engaging.

Gameplay

As soon as Wave Rider begins, players dive down a massive waterfall to gain the initial speed boost. You must constantly maintain your balance and adjust your trajectory to avoid colliding with obstacles scattered across the water's surface. As the game progresses, the pace accelerates, becoming increasingly fast and challenging to control.

Unlike many standard endless runners, Wave Rider allows players to utilize a "Fly" ability to soar over obstacles or escape from treacherous sections of the course. This feature is absolutely critical for survival at such high speeds.

A Challenging Survival System

Colliding with obstacles in Wave Rider causes your vehicle to take damage (lose HP). Additionally, getting stranded on sandbanks or stuck in shallow waters will cause your HP to gradually deplete over time. Consequently, players must not only focus on dodging but also effectively manage their resources to survive.

"Wrench" items, scattered throughout the course, can be collected to repair and restore your vehicle's durability. Taking the risk to retrieve a Wrench is sometimes a mandatory choice if you wish to continue your journey. Certain rare items allow you to respawn immediately at the exact spot where you failed, helping you extend your playtime and break records more easily.

Hazards

Sudden currents in Wave Rider can knock you off course, making steering extremely difficult. Sandbanks and shallow pools can slow your vehicle down or cause it to get stuck, resulting in a rapid depletion of your HP. Clusters of underwater vegetation reduce visibility and obscure obstacles lying ahead. Beautiful patches of lotus plants sometimes conceal dangerous rocks lurking just beneath the water's surface. Many obstacles appear with extreme suddenness, forcing players to react instantly to dodge them.
